Whether you choose the most formal wedding or a casual beach-side gathering, I would be honored to perform a customized, memorable ceremony for you.
I understand that when people choose a Notary Public, they often want something spiritual, unique and usually less traditional than a classic church wedding. You may want a seaside wedding in Bar Harbor or something else very special to you in Greater Portland; where you can add your own vows and timing, without formal rules. In other words, a wedding ceremony on your terms.
That’s why so many couples call me for assistance. I have performed dozens of wedding ceremonies in the Greater Portland and Bar Harbor, Maine areas … customized to fit the couples perfectly. I’d like to do the same for you.
I’m dedicated to preparing a ceremony that’s everything you imagined.
This means I’m very flexible and willing to accommodate your wishes, whether you’re getting married for the first time, renewing your vows, eloping, exchanging commitment vows, or blending step-families.
If you’re looking for ideas on where and how to arrange your ceremony, I’d be delighted to offer you suggestions. As an experienced wedding planner in Maine, I have access to many of the best Maine wedding resources and ideas.
When I officiate your wedding ceremony, you can expect me to provide any or all of these services needed, with a personal approach that’s hard to find in a Notary Public:
Meet with you twice to prepare an individual ceremony that will touch the hearts of your family and friends.
Prepare and customize your ceremony (this includes sending you dozens of ceremonies and vows to choose from; just pick from column A and column B to begin customizing. I also encourage you to add something you’d like to say to each other: a poem, personal statement or other statement.
- Help you obtain and file your marriage license.
- Provide the two required witnesses you’ll need.
- Appreciate multi-cultural and multi-ethnic traditions.
- Confirm how you’d like to be introduced the first time as a married couple.
- Go to wherever you are for the ceremony (even inside South Portland’s Bug Light lighthouse or by the shores of Bar Harbor!).
- Suggest venues, soloists and musicians.
Please note that most people schedule their wedding ceremonies in the late afternoon, with an evening reception. You’ll want to keep this in mind when planning your wedding date.
My fee for providing the above services: $250* This includes travel to/from the ceremony. All other meetings are held at my Portland office.
Rehearsal add-on: $100 + travel* If you’d like me to schedule and direct a rehearsal (highly recommended!), this additional fee applies.
* Travel is included in the Greater Portland area, but I’ll need to charge mileage beyond 30 miles each way. Please inquire about my mileage rates in the Bar Harbor and Boothbay Harbor areas.
